Well, it did...friday night we had snow.  Not as much as elsewhere in Spain but it came down as low as 28M above sea level.. Mt Caro was well and truly covered.

Hello Nigel, nice to see your photo's of mt. Caro with snow, but how do you drive there  ???
We drove to Mas de Barberans, but could not find a road that went up the mountain, your local knowledge would be very helpfull. :)

;D Hi if you drive up to Roquetes from roundabout by the corona hotel and go straght through Roquetes  there are signs on the road directing you up to Caro,follow the hikers!!!

Ah, well - slightly more complicated at the moment as the centre of Roquetes has been dug up as they are installing a new sewer and water main...

So, here are the instructions..
As Phil says, head for Roquetes past the Corona hotel.  You need to turn left just after Caprabo - it is a signposted diversion.
At the end of the short road go right.  Follow that road round a left bend then right then at the next left bend you will see a turn on your right (it is signposted La Senia, Roquetes (Centre Urbana) and Observatorio de Ebre)). Turn right there and follow the road round to the left.  Take the next right and you head towards a stone arch in the middle of a roundabout (it's a large roundabout not a mini one).  Carry straight on (you pass a large modern building on your right).  At the end turn left (there are loads of cones there).  This is the Els Reguers/ Alfara road.  Continue on this and you come to Els Reguers.  Continue on and just before you get to the end of Els Regueres (on a right hand bend) there is a left turn (it actually goes straight ahead).  

This is the Mt Caro road.... now keep going straight ahead and you can't miss it!

Sounds complicated but it's not really.
