Title: Caravan Sites
Post by Jimbo on Jan 5th, 2010 at 9:28pm
Compliments of the season.

We are looking into visiting this area and don't want to stay at the all singing & dancing holiday sites.
Don't like the high costs, especially as we won't use most of the facilities.

Are there small sites on farms, or such like?

I think it's run by the caravan club, in the UK you can stay on a farm for a few bob a night.

France has a free system where you are expected to buy from the owner, wine, honey, ect, ect. But I think these are only overnight
stops.

Any advice is most welcome.
Thanks.

The biggest issue you will find is emptying the 'cassette'....
Normal caravan flushes (pink and blue) are not friendly to the bio-digesters generally in use on many rural sites.
If you plan ahead and fill up with 'eco' products you may get a positive response.

Give 'Parky' a call 977059911 or 660990422. He has caravan pitches - a bit basic but that's what you asked for!

Hi Jimbo,

I have seen your request regarding caravan park facilities.

Before you make a final decision on caravan parks and facilities come and take a look at our very Eco friendly facilities.

Feel free Call or text on 662640424 or 0773 783 3586.

I may well have just type of set up that suits you perfectly.

Kind regards,
Nigel

Thanks Harvo,
We don't like the smell of the pink/blue types, so don't use them.

But thats a good thought on using a type for bio-digesters.

The website is in dutch only, but you will find a phonenumber on the contact-page and the owner speaks english.
