Title: Re: Ryanair disabled assistance. Post by Bigyin on Feb 21st, 2010 at 3:03pm
When they used to use Terminal A I always parked in the "bike sheds" at the extreme western end of the airport and it was only a couple of hundred meters max to the check in desk and then a short walk to the M boarding gates.
The last time I did a pickup, I again parked in the bike sheds and was surprised to find that Terminal A was empty and the passenger had had a long walk to where I eventually found her in Terminal B. Now being aware that some changes were going on, I checked on the Easyjet website before delivering my passenger for departure and found that departures are now going from C and arrivals at B. I looked on Google Earth to look at the layout of the carparks and decided that rather than turn right for A as per normal, I'd go straight on through the entrance to the most easterly car park. This turned out to be opposite B and it was a pretty long walk down to C. Having checked in, we were told that the boarding gate was one of the M's at the far end of A. I had to leave the passenger at C as that's where the security check in is. When I got back home, I looked on the ICC website and measured the distance from C to M at exactly 1Km. When I contacted the passenger in UK, it turns out that on arrival at the M gate, they were ushered onto a bus and taken to guess where to board the aircraft ? Yes, terminal C. You couldn't make it up !! This was on 10th of this month by the way. |
