beige car T629 FCW  dumped on land next to us

Do you know a policeman in the U.K. who can check with D.V.L.A. who the car belongs to?
Think if you try to find out on your own back it costs quite a lot of money!

no we dont ,we have been on holiday for a month come back to a car with its windows open left in the land next to us  so its stolen or dumped but whoever put it there must have driven it to where its been left .
our son said it as been there for around 3 weeks.

You can get limited information for the dvla under vehicle enquiry by putting in the registration and make so I took a guess it may be a ford, this comes up:

yes rita i would but thank you for looking it up for me mostyne  :) it seems very strange as it dont look a tatty old car

my husband has just gone to look to see what the make is and its a beige/gold ford mondeo the keys are in it /no battery/we have a name on the mot teast certificate dated july 04/07 name on the certificate is M.J.WEADOCK and was moted in altrincham wa14 isj   NOW THEN DOSE ANYONE KNOW A M.J. WEADOCK the boot is full of chairs etc and fishing items

Nen,
On the mot test certificate, the name is the name of the MOT examiner not the owner. Also there will be an MOT test number. If you have this you might also find out if the car is currently MOT'd here...

it's an old certificate so it might not work. If it does, it will tell you which test station the car was MOT'd at. The test center might have the name of the owner if they pre-booked it for a mot.

looks like it is owned still and not reported stolen. A police check shows it is not reported as stolen anyway:

So it looks like it is owned by someone in the local area.

Seems strange that there is still fishing tackle in it though.

a quick check on msn maps shows it was MOT'd in Skelton Rd off Deansgate lane in Altrincham.
There are only 4 businesses at this address:
Businesses at this address

    * G Bailey Motor Bodies
    * Truck Care
    * Nigel Oglethorpe Auto Services
    * Timperley Tyre & Auto

So one of these will have MOT'd it.
They will likely have the owners name!

Wow, this is all really impressive.  (no sarcasm here either)  Scotland Yard would be proud.  It amazes me just how much you can get off the net.

A few e-mails and phone calls when I am not at work might get the owners name! Then he will be able to collect it before the Spanish police pay him a visit for having an illegal car!

ok just had a visit from the man who gave the car away 3 yrs ago he lives in our village he see it on here and he gave it to someone not to far from where it as been dumped so my husband as just gone to pay him a visit to ask him to move it or ealse AND YES IT IS A ENGLISH PERSON dont some show us all up

People from Altrincham don't just abandod cars,they leave them strategically parked anywhere. I used to do work for G.Baileys,they don't do MOTs.

we have the name off the person who dumped the car he was given it by a man who lives in our village about 3 yrs ago he came to see us when he saw it on here and told us who he gave it to it was MACA  the fisherman in tivenys roy went to his cassa he wasn't at home so i rang him told him to remove the car as it was a fire hazard he said what car i said you know what car he said its not on your land is it i said no but it needs to be removed and if it hasn't been by morning i will report him to the police .then he went on ...i gave it away a few weeks ago and its not in my name so nothing you can do i told him to get on to the person he gave it to tell them to remove it.i told him it was very convenient it was dumped when we were on holiday so we couldn't see who put it there.

The problem here is that if he hasn't done the paperwork, then it will all come back on the guy who gave it away 3 years ago. If his name is still on the paperwork, he is the one the spanish police will go after. I would recommend you tell him cos it will be his responsibility and he is the one who will get done if he hasn't informed swansea himself!

So far, we've worked out the car isn't taxed, or insured, the last MOT looks like it was 3 years ago,  it hasn't been registered in Spain and it is probably still in the name of the guy who gave it away 3 years ago. I hope there are no arrest warrants out on the driver!   :o
