Title: Ebro
Post by Bulldog on Jan 25th, 2012 at 6:56pm
If anyone is interested ( he says he doesn't care if your not he's going to tell you anyway ) Friday 9-30pm on BBC two On the trail of Hannibal is around the Ebro and up past Barcelona last week was in the south of Spain.
The battle scenes were very poor. SO the committee of gentle folk decided to re-enact it for the BBC.
Director - Ritaratbag ( because only one who had a battery for the watch ).
Electrics -ebrorob ( we now know where the xmas lights went )
Communications officer -Nigel with a bent coathanger standing on the city walls.
Officer leading the charge - cactus jack on his donkey ( second donkey borrowed by Nobrot -he really couldn't ride it )
Bruixot -with plastic sword at front of army ( so he gets killed first. I've not forgotten Ryanair demo threat.)
Bigyin - playing the dwarf due to size.
Bulldog - The handsome general ( she says I have to play the role I suit best. So I'm the dead beggar in the middle of the road. )
Its a must to see.
Yours film maker Bulldog.

Thanks for the info. I missed last weeks episode and I was wondering when they would get up this way. I assume they will be in Peniscola too as I read this was where he offloaded elphants due to the shallow sea with the dropoff for deeper keeled vessels. I will happily be at the front! And I have my own swords thanks so I don't need a plastic one. : )

Officer in front....I have always been called a 'front ' man at least thats what I think they said ( the old ears aren't so good now).
The donkeys have their saddles on and are standing by, eating alfalfa, but looking lively.
Nobby is looking for a stepladder to mount said donkey- his legs are extremely short and Nobby's are even shorter..also I am not sure that he understands what mounting a donkey really means.............
I do have a spear of African origin (where the hell did I get that from????)  err ....Africa?
and I am ready to repel all boarders to Catalunian borders
Bruixot I am afraid I am with Bulldog insomuch as you have to die first. My uncles name was Ryan and you slagged him off ...RIP.
PS the goat was lovely Mmmmmm  xx
Ritaratbag if you run out of batteries I have some in my hearing aids they are the type a a a a a a just talk louder a a a ..
but if you have them I cant hear Nigel telling me where to hang my coat !!!
Ebrorob I have read Il Luminatii (ok I didnt understand any of it) (actually I gave up half way through ecause I couldnt spell Il Luminatii) so I know that you have the lights
And Bulldog.....well ok roadkill??????
This makes my starring role second only to my burros  :)
All nominations for Oscars to bulldog by 2014

With a rabble like that Hannibal would have been lucky to have crossed an anthill let alone the Alps !!
