Does any one have the equipment to copy videos onto DVD or onto a computer?

There's no way I am a technophobe but surely you load your DVDs onto the computer through the disc drive ?

Can you be a bit more specific ? Do you mean you want to copy video tapes to your PC so you can burn them to DVD ? If so, are the tapes analogue or digital recordings ?

There is loads of stuff available online from about €25.
Just put "video to PC" into Google Although if anyone already has one it is worth asking ;) |

The videos apparently are analogue I don't have a video player but I want to be able to view them which means converting the contents to DVD :-/

If you have analogue video tapes (VHS or 8mm) you are going to need an appropriate player to play them in which case you could play them directly via your TV. If you want to convert them to digital format to allow digital editing on your PC and/or burn them to DVD, you'll need an analogue to digital converter. There are still a few around and they vary in price and capability. Here's an article on the subject (one of many). http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/digital-home/11484/how-to-transfer-movies-from-vhs-to-dvd/
