I wonder if anyone can help a friend is wanting to buy yellow split peas, also known as Carlin peas to make pease pudding. Has anyone seen them being sold here?

May seem strange but a couple of months or so ago, we went to Carnicas Fillat, in Vilaseca, and saw some there.
On the shelf along with their dry goods, sauces etc. were split peas.
If you phone them there is a girl there who speaks very good English. She will tell you if they still have some or not.

Where and what is Esclat? Is it a supermarket that I hav'nt been to?

The only Esclat that I know of is on the N340 on the far side of Cambrils. They do have a small English section.
