l'Ametlla de Mar from 15th, I am told that el Perello is the same. I'm going in tomorrow to get my licence. I've been told that the Forestals have got some nice new motorcycles to run around on and collect fines from anyone not obeying the rules.

In Alfara I don't need to take anything and in Els Reguers this morning they were burning as I passed through.

Escritura and NIE.

Not 100% sure I actually needed one but he had one of those ' I'll give him one just to shut him up'  look about him.

Thanks for that.  I've never had one before but with all the bad fires this year, I thought they might start getting more vigilant (which is no bad thing).

Hi all  what is it in spanish that you ask for at the Ajuntament ? the old farmer below me usually goes down to Rouqets for one when I am over, but think I should poss be a bit more responsible LOL :D

The words   'Comunicacio de crema'   appear on the top of mine.

per crema de brancatge agricola or in good old google " For agricultural burning branches" I am owf to get mine in the morning. I just take my old ones along and they hand over a new one. This year a few have been caught out when fires have got the better of them and even worse they had no licence. It only takes half an hour and can save you a lot of trouble if things do get out of hand. They also send you a text if burning is suspended.  8-)

Hi All,
When applying for a licence to burn do you also make an appointment for them to come to see the property that the licence is for so that you can be there to meet them, or do they just issue you with the licence and do you pay cash or do you have to make a standing order at the bank?
Many Thanks Bulldog.

It fascinates me... they don't check your land or your competence at extinguishing fires and they don't charge for the paperwork (other than a photocopy perhaps).  You just apply and they issue it so...  What's the flipping point?  They've never sent me a text message saying I can't have a fire on a particular day so that's not it!

They do check that

a) your fire isn't more than 3 mtrs high
b) more than 25 mtrs from natural vegetation
c) must be burning down by 12.00
d) not burning on a sunday or bank holiday
e) not lit in windy conditions
f) there is only one fire lit at any one time

Don't they ................???

Just picked up my licence from Camarles - runs from 16 Oct until 14 March
Can burn whenever it is light
Cannot burn when Pla Alfa is at level 2 or above and that's it.
Previously not been allowed to burn Sundays, fiestas, after 12noon, near to a road etc.

Can confirm we did receive text messages last season when we could not burn

Were are the burning regulations stated, times and what is allowed,as my permit does not say ?
I have allways been concerned that the local Cataloonians seem to burn what they like, when they like, with smoke often covering the highway !
Allthough they allways blame the Gran Britania.
