Where is the best place to get an ITV- we live behind Roquetes. Do you need to make an appointment or just turn up, and can you wait with the vehicle or do you have to leave it? Thanks

Local ITV is going out of Tortosa towards L'Aldea.
Along the dual carriageway, you will see a sign for it, on right hand side, and slip road, which takes you into the industrial estate.

I've booked online and its easy. You go through the itv with the vehicle. The whole things like a production line. The guys are very helpful and never seems to get exasperated if you can't understand what they're saying. I approve of the system on the whole. They don't do any of the repair work so have no reason to find extra faults. You have 14 days from a fail to get any problems sorted and then it's back for a parcel test(they just ascertain the fail problem/s are sorted and give you your certificate stamp. Have fun.

Anyone know if the Mora station is closing? On the website it says "El 5 de Abril, estará abierta de 7 a 15h. El 30 de Abril, permanecerá cerrada."

Think the person wanting to know about local I.T.V. station,  near Tortosa, was able to pre book appointment and has actually followed my directions, and already been to have the vehicle M.O.T'd. now.

Regarding Mora ITV,"On April 5, will be open from 7 to 15h. On April 30, closed.

For ITV virgins. Got our ITV done yesterday- the first time we have taken a car for one in Spain. Found the website confusing with our limited Spanish ( forgot all about translating it) so went to see my Catalan neighbour for him to phone on our behalf. Slight problem to start with as the main regional phone line tel.902 930 200 wasn't working but eventually found local number tel. 902 127 609 and got an appointment. Went to the office with paperwork (thankfully we had our NIEs' with us as they are needed)  and then we were told to join line one but as we could only see one queue we joined that to eventually find that was for diesels and we needed to drive round the corner and join a queue there. All sorted within ten minutes from that point onwards, and thankfully no work needed. Phew!

I got that Terry, thing is, does it open again after April 30th?

my itv expires in april only problem is the guy i bought the car off returned to england and its proved imposable to get his passport number and nie number off him so my car is still registered to him will i be able to take it for an itv
