IT’S the worst since at least 1999, and that’s official! With harvesting now concluded in Andalucia, this year’s olive crop is down around 57 per cent on the 1.36 million tonnes of the 2011/2012 season, with such low levels not experienced for at least 14 years! In total 560,000 tonnes…

Most of the almonds blew off in Feb and the carob followed last week. Looks like slim pickings.

Nice one Nob ;D Last few years everyone's complained about low prices due to high yields so does this mean the price will be good this year ?

We had a good crop this year, but we did collect early in November. We had them pressed at Sol d'Ebre and made 0.3% Extra Virgin oil which is selling really well in the UK :)
Loads of mostra this year which bodes well for the next batch, fingers crossed. |
