Title: Most UK channels now Post by Bunter on May 6th, 2015 at 9:20am
Hi
If you have an android tv box for a one off £5 fee you can get allthingtech's build for Kodi. All Sky Sports films sky channels as well as kids stuff and from the USA.You do not have to do anything all the programmes for the films and sport etc have been done for you. The build will be updated from time to time and all upgrades are free/included in your £5 fee. There are two videos showing what is on the build..1 and two how to install it on your system. I find it easier to download it on my computer via a USB stick and then pop that into the back of the android box and have the instruction video running on my tablet that I can stop and start whilst installing from the USB on my TV in case I mess up. Also keep the build on a USB stick means you can uninstall your TV version and then just reinstall from the USB stick. (Build just means an App like installation) I also have this running on my tablet and it works a treat. If you have never used or seen one of these android boxes give your eyes a treat and watch the attached videos. ;) ;) ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4-3NG1m65U https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZuRFYYhcHw http://freemytv.ca/blog/explaining-kodi-xbmc-to-my-mom/ ![]() |

Is the streaming, buffering etc.of this content still determined by
the quality of the internet feed ? :) |

I got this recently on a Raspberry Pi but today the facility to access UK live TV has gone. I can still get at a variety of other things including USA TV listings but the UK stuff refuses to play ball. Any explanations or reports of similar experiences would be appreciated.

Morning Michael
Try this first....There is a very short ad at the start just skip that it's a youtube thing. The help video will follow. Now this is for xbmc kodi but the principal is the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21U8UJGCj30 Or this.... You are a little vague re your problem but if its a source you use for your UK tv press C on your keyboard or remote and you should be able to do a force refresh and or an update from the menu that will appear on pressing C try force refresh first.come out of the whole application then go back in and it should have returned as normal. |

Hi Bunter,
Re your first post above. I'm using a PC for TV instead of an Android box. I've recently installed Kodi but you'll probably agree that setting it up is somewhat fiddly. Would the "allthingstech" download work on my version ? Thanks |

It should work fine I have had it a while now and you get an email with the next new build code and just do a clean install and download allthingtechs files do not open them if you use winzip etc Kodi will do that when you do the install.each new build comes with a video of how to complete the install. I have changed a few of the background wallpapers but it seems to work fine it would work better if I had a faster internet. He has installed in the build all the addons you will need with thousands of films, Sports and TV channels. On the whole you do not need a VPN.
Here is a video re windows 7 set up it may help you with the set up you have. Otherwise pop over to allthingstech website pay your fiver via paypal and almost by return you with get an email with instruction how to obtain the build files. Any future builds or update are included in the price. There are other builds on youtube that are free but this guy is from the UK and He seems all above board and appears to know his stuff. Of course he has just collated all these variants from the XBMC community but he has taken the time to collate them all so you don't have to. It's good fun once you get the hang of it. Another good guy on youtube is vdubz25 check his videos out. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) Vdubz25 videos......Heyyyyyyy UP https://www.youtube.com/user/vdubt25/videos Windows 7 setup for kodi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAL3n9WpKCk allthingstech website. http://www.xbmcandkodi.com/ |

Thanks for your input Bunter. I decided to leave any fiddling until after the play-offs over the weekend (lest I lost the Sky Sports 1 link) having a vested interest in both Sunday's and Monday's matches - both concluded to my satisfaction. In the mean time I found this:
http://www.xbmcandkodi.com/custombuilds/ Judging by the final entry the problem I highlighted (loss of 'standard' UK TV) is recognised and will be addressed shortly. As ever, Bunter, you are a mine of useful information. You would have got my vote had you stood for election! |
