So what is the catch ? I open a bank account and keep a few Euros in it and they will pay me 240€ per year?

Have your salary or pension directly paid into your account
or pay in a minimum of €600/month
and we will pay you €20/month

I'm going for it. I will keep my La Caixa account as my direct debits are all set up and it's a lot of work to change them all, also there is a la caixa branch in my village.
But I will simply pay in once a month to BBVA and use their debit card for purchases.
This will more than pay for my current banking fees.
Win win as far as I'm concerned

The 240€ is only for one year, it doesn't go on forever.

Which is precisely how long I will keep the account open for. After a year I shall close it. Easy ;)
