Here are the rules from/into Germany. The refer to the EU so it will apply from the UK into Spain. There are a few links for you to explore.

Airline or checked or cabin luggage makes no difference, what matters is where you are coming from. According to UK customs regulations, you are allowed to bring up to 10 kg of meat, fish or dairy products from any country within the EU. From countries outside the EU bringing food is generally not allowed.
