Title: Re newing a Spanish driving licence Post by Ritaratbag on Sep 15th, 2016 at 5:31pm
I have read that to re new a Spanish driving licence the person should apply 3 months prior to their existing licence runnig out.
Can someone clarify this please? |

I have not heard of this Rita. When my Spanish licence ran out at the end of last December I only applied about 2 weeks before and there was no problem.
Alternatively, when my English licence ran out 3 years previously I applied for a transfer through a gestor about 2 weeks before, however that took about 3 months to process and I have heard of people waiting even longer, so there may be a bit of confusion with this. |

Thanks Tony.
Yes, can't imagine a replacement licence taking so long. |

Rita. Looking at the link below half way down they mention the holder of a Spanish licence will get a letter close to renewal just like you do in the U.K. Have a look anyway. 😄😄😄

Sounds good if you have a street address but unlikely if you live on Campo and only have an AP address.
