Thought you may like to know that there are, in fact, some even cheaper options now available. Www.call18185.co.uk , a sister company to 18866.co.uk and 1899.co.uk, allows you to call Spanish landlines for 0.5p a minute, + a 4p connection charge. You need to register online to use this service provider.

If you need to make a lot of calls from the UK to Spain, then registering in the UK with an unlimited package for UK geographical calls,(can be done for under £10 a month now, if you shop around) and then registering with www.teletop.co.uk could be the best option. Teletop allows you to make calls to Spain for 0p a minute, you just pay a 5 pence connection fee...but you do need to dial a UK geographical number to access teletop, hence the suggestion of an unlimited UK geographical package.

It's also worth knowing that if you have a UK mobile cross network contract with O2 and Orange, you can sneekily use up inclusive minutes with these two networks in the UK to call Spanish landlines at no extra charge, 24 / 7. You can do this by by keying the following number: 07744 97 4404 . At the prompt you dial your international number followed by the hash key.The website which explains a bit more about this service is: www.simplyfone.com. There is also an 07744 provider called www.yourcallworld.com which allows you to call Spanish mobiles between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday free out of cross-network inclusive minutes. You need to dial 07744 200 003 to access this service.

**This also means that is possible to call a Spanish mobile from the UK from a UK landline between the above hours for just 4p a minute. First dial 0844 428 90 90 (www.discountdial.co.uk) then enter Yourcallworld's acess number and then the Spanish mobile number. Hope this helps. :)

We plan to move to Tortosa area next year and find this site really helpful.

I have that Talktalk in the UK is excellent for UK-Spain calls. For £10 a month call plan I can call 23 countries in Europe (and the USA) for FREE for up to an hour at a time. After that I just have to disconnect and redial. Very useful for us as we anticipate a lot of calls to Spain in the coming months.

Just to let users of this forum know that you can currently call a Spanish mobile from a UK landline for 3p a minute, at all times, by using www.0844calls.co.uk. First dial their cheap access number: 0844 439 98 98. Once connected, key 0034 and the spanish mobile number you want to connect to,followed by the hash key. :)

It is also worth remembering, for those on O2 pay monthly contracts, that you can use your monthly allowances to call 0844 numbers, at no extra cost.(This ONLY applies to O2 pay monthly customers - all other networks charge extra to call these numbers.)

Excellent,thanks for that mate...... Only problem is,that number is for Tajikistan at 3p per minute!!! Spanish mobiles are 9p a minute and it's a different number. But thanks anyway coz i'm about to marry a Tajikistani girl. ;D ;)
