If you fancy a change and a drive out go to Corbera d'Ebre. From Tortosa head up river towards Mora d'Ebre, but turn left up the canyon towards Gandesa. When in Gandesa, turn right towards Corbera (only another 4 kms) At the second set of traffic lights turn right, then second left, you will see the restaurant just the other side of the football stadium. The road is still being made as this is the new part of the village, and the restaurant is new. Owned by a local family, the food is delicious. Menu del dia is about 9 euros and is 4 courses with wine. If you want to make a day of it, the village is steeped in history from the Spanish Civil War, and the old part of the village is an open air museum dedicated to peace. It is exactly as Franco and the Germans left it in 1939. The views are spectacular across the valley and mountains. There is also a small private museum called "La Trinxera"
