Title: Benifallet Caves
Post by Nigel on Apr 7th, 2006 at 11:19pm
Well worth a visit are the caves at Benifallet.  There are guided tours in English (with a Spanish/Bulgarian accent :)) and they have typed sheets with all the information in English too.

The entry to the caves is very reasonable €5 (adults) less for students (details on their website). There is a very interesting story too, in the 1930's 5 families lived in the caves to escape the turmoil of the Civil war.  There is only one surviving member who is now 95.  The descendents of the families still live in Benifallet.

You'll find out more when you visit.

Website (in Catalan) is on the 'Where to Visit' tab above.
