Title: swimming pool maintanance
Post by stuandeve on Jul 30th, 2006 at 1:59pm
Hi Everybody,
I'm looking for advise on the best stuff to use to stop the swimming pool going green and murky. We have tried no end of different remedies, but even with the most expensive stuff, its only a short term solution. Then we have to empty the pool out , clean it, and start all over again. A whole days work, and not to mention the waste of water. So any advise on what to use, and where to buy it??

Hi,

Keep it well chlorinated and regularly put in Anti-Algas - both of which you can buy in Herraiz (and other places).
I add chlorine almost every other day and anti-algas a couple of times a week. Keep it well swept (especially the corners and any places where any algae can grow - like the under side of the steps).

If it's murky from sediment in the water (I have a constant battle with this!) then use Flocculant to clump the sediment together then vacuum it out.
