Another point regarding notaries which Gary didn't mention,a fact that they(as far as I believe) are all government employees,is that they seem to encourage the black economy by suggesting an actual price payable,knowing full well the agreed price and the fact that they leave the room to allow this 'under the table transaction'to take place.I'm sure not many of us actually mind this practise taking place but surely the implication of this activity alone leaves many other questions open to answers.
