Any one know anything about computors ?

I can hear the fan going, but thats about it.

Power to the monitor ,but it 's got no communication from the tower, just a blank screen. The orande standby light is on but it's not going green. Nothing from the mouse or keyboard either. When I turn the tower on it's making a bleeping noise and that's all. Bloomin thing is only 10 months old and still under guarantee, but alas I bought it over from the U.K. It's a long way to go to get it looked at.... :-?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

had the same thing happen on my computer today, toke it to the shop, it was dust on the cpu, all fixed now :)

Could be any number of things:

The power supply
Some connection come loose
A faulty card
Faulty memory or processor
..or something else...

If it beeps then count the number of beeps - this is often a BIOS error code and you can often find out what is wrong from this.

Took everthing out , cleaned and hoovered it, and it seems to have done the trick.

It must have got a bit addled as I have to boot it up about 3 times before it starts doing as it's told .

I'll see how it goes.
