URGENT NOTICE RE: TORTOSA DOGS' HOME - ” ARCA”

The dogs home at Tortosa now has over 160 dogs housed there, and it is now so far over capacity, that they are having to put dogs to sleep, which is unacceptable. The building itself is in a terrible state, the roof is falling in, it is infested with rats, there is not enough water, except when it rains through the roof.

The Consell Comercal de Baix Ebre (Council) have recently constructed a brand new housing shelter for the dogs, which was finished last September and because of one “missing paper”, they will not allow the dogs to move into it. This is where we need your help. The volunteers that work in this shelter do so much to take abandoned dogs off the streets, but they are powerless to help further when the existing shelter is bursting at the seams.

We urge you from the bottom of our hearts to please stop for a few minutes and sign our on-line petition to try and help these homeless dogs move into their new home – which is already built, next door and waiting for a signature on the missing papers.
