I await a headline where one of our darling MEP's from Brussels have their cars impounded on home visits.

Aside:- Well maybe tomorrow there will no trucks crossing  as they are blocking the Chunnel. They want to let them through and then block them, the foreign one's, on the other side with a  polite note to S:O:

I've just bashed off letters to my UK MP and MEP. Those with a UK address should follow suit.

Pete.

Typically ludicrous.  Nearly as sensible as spending over a billion quid on electrifying the London Bristol line to save a few minutes.

I finally got a reply from my MP attaching a statement from Lord Adonis (for Gods sake!). It just restated the governments position.  Basically, if a car is used in another EU country and brought back into the UK then it must not be used abroad again within 6 months. Literally, if you made 2 booze cruises to Calais then you could be told that you should re-register your car in France. The obvious contradiction that the vehicle spends the other 364 days of the year in the UK does not compute with moron.gov.uk. Good old Labour with their 3000 new offences. How many have you commited today?
