Cataluña declares itself independent from Spain, in the area of education’. The paper, never a fan of the Catalan language, tells its readers that the Education Commission from the Catalan Parliament has approved a law which sees the exclusion of Castellano. The paper notes the law fails to meet the Supreme Court order that parents should have the choice of language in education.
