Since August 1, the public parking of the airport is of payment.  The rates established are the following: of the minute 0 to the minute 30, 0.014145 euro per minute; of the minute 31 to the minute 60, 0.017682 euro per minute; since the minute 61, 0.013261 euro per minute; daily maximum to four days, 8.90 euro; daily maximum from the fifth day, 7.10 euro.


so thats nearly 40 euros for 5 days parking!!!!

Said that ages ago ... surely MOL is getting a cut ? prob not ( seen his shirt on news today ) - standard accross most Spanish airports ... still very expensive

Yes, the nice German guy who runs Sol Mar at Reus has 'parking' ... not sure of the deal...

Just got back from Reus airport this morning.The gates on the field on the right hand side on the way out are now locked.It looks like they has closed of that little loophole.There are still loads of cars locked in.......

Any updates on this?  What does he call long term ? At that rate it would be worth paying for a month even if you only need it for a week or so !!

Took an elderly relative to Reus airport this morning.

What a pleasant surprise to actually find that there were lots of spaces available, which were probably vacated by the scores of UK old bangers that seem to have disappeared!

Actually saw an N registered Brit car, couldn't tell what colour it was because of the coating of dust all over it, there was also lots of graffiti written in the dirt. God knows how long it's been there, but I suppose the car parking fee at over 8 Euros per day will come to more than the car is worth...........LOL

I thought 15 cents to walk in and say goodbye to people, nip to the loo and get back to the car was brilliant.

Yes very reasonable for drop offs/pick ups but has any on sorted any thing for  longer term ?

Heard it on the grapevine,from a reliable source,that the maximum charge for parking at Reus regardless of your length of stay is only 4 days.

which is in line with Barcelona and Valencia i.e. one daily rate up to four days then a cheaper rate thereafter.

Picked up relations last sunday, parking for half hour was 35c. The chap in the booth by the pay machines also has slips printed of parking charges ranging from half hour up to 30 days (220.20E). Useful for planning xmas visits!

Yes, the "reliable source" has been shot now. For 6 days parking the charge was 55 Euros.
More than any full international airport would cost i think, and you cannot pre-book like you can at uk airports.

Reus:-  4 days 8.90/day, then 7.10/day
Valencia:-  4 days 14.40/day, then 11.45/day
Barcelona:-  4 days 18.00/day, then 14.40/day
Heathrow (drive up):- 4 days £15.70/day, then £15.10/day (dearer than Barcelona)

Don't even think about Pink Elephant Car park at Stanstead its cheaper to get a mortgage

I spoke the guy at Reus as I passed through the other day, he has changed his pitch slightly since the Airport started charging for car parking. His current deal is : 15€ to collect your car from the Airport, first ten days parking free thereafter 50c per day, 15€ to deliver car back to Airport. I have his contact details if anyone needs them.

I would like the details, please, and feel that lots of other people would too.
Is it possible to post these on the Forum, for us all. please.

€3.00 a day sounds like good value,as long as you know who's driving your car and where too......

Is he the same guy that runs,  Rent a right hand drive wreck ?

Parking at 3 euros per day away from Reus? Obviously in a secure compound? Who holds the keys? An easy way to rent out your car while you are on hols,it would not be the first time, it's already happened at Gatwick as well as parking your car in roads just out of town where its not too populated but vulnerable to vandalism or theft. I take it that this guy has in place the insurance to cover anything(or is he moonlighting?) that may happen whilst you have put the car in his care.
Advice?................Let the train take the strain! Train to Barcelona Sants, take the connection to the Airport, cost? 22 euros return at the most from Tortosa, must work out cheaper than paying the parking, and fly Easyjet, just got a flight for 24 euros single back to UK........AND, no parking fees or worry, is the car going to be there when I return?
      I rest my case,............hand baggage of course!  

I have attached the flyer on parking. I have no idea if has insurance or if the cover is any better than you would get by leaving it at the Airport. I also don't know anything about him so the info is provided for everyone to make their own enquiries. He told me it was best to call after 8pm as he has a day job.

€3.00 a day for a part timer,a mobile phone and the oiliest mongrel in Tarragona,all on Bauhaus car park......I'd love to see the claim managers face in the insurance office when that one hits his desk.

the german at sol mar is called "jorg" i have used him for 18 months since i had my car stolen at the airport.he has my car for months at a time as i only come over for holidays.he is very helpful and always on time to have my car waiting for me at the airport,tyre pressure checked,all the levels checked,cleaned inside and out and full of fuel if asked.he charges 15 euro to drop and 15 euro to pick up and the end of the holiday,the first 2 weeks its parked at his is free then it is under a euro,think it might be 50 cent a day after that.well worth it and very reliable.

I purposely did not mention his "day job" as it seems several people have called him on that number whick obviously does not please his boss ! Anyone calling should use the mobile number.
