Title: Veggie time Post by Nigel on Aug 15th, 2009 at 9:34pm
It's veggie time again. If like me you can't resist planting way too many plants in the garden then you'll probably be faced with a glut of vegetables.
Trying to give them away can be difficult as everyone seems to have loads too.. so, what to do with them? Some things obviously keep, but the likes of aubergines, corgettes, peppers and tomatoes are a bit more troublesome, and it seems such a waste to just let them rot. So, what do you do with them? How do you cook them? Are there any adventurous cooks who have recipies that extend to more than moussaka for aubergines, chutney for tomatoes or pizzas for peppers? Share your recipies so we can all have a go and make the most of the abundant, wonderful food that is all but free at the moment. Nigel |
