It's a Ginjol (Catalan) Azufaifa (Castellano) Jujube (English). They are delicious and should be eaten when part green/part reddy brown and still firm. If they go totally brown they are over ripe. They have a sort of sweet and sour flavour, but nowhere as sharp as a crab apple. |
