We live on the side of a steep mountainside and some of our land is very steep and we have not cleared it in the 6 years we have lived here. About 18 months ago we were visited by the Agents Rural, who told us because the land had now reverted back to its natural state we would have to get a license from the local Medi Amebitent office before we could clear it in the furture. They told us there would not be a problem in gaining the license but we would have to clearly state on the application how much, and where the land to be cleared is located on our land. So I think this rule has been about for a while.
