We have a plague of white bugs on our fruit trees and all over lots of weeds and flower stems. They are about 5mm long and turn red when squeezed. Anyone know what they are and how to get rid?

Have you tried spraying them with soapy water? It seems to work for some things and is ecological..

Neem oil (aceite de neem) does the trick.From the almecan in Temple.It's a bit expensive at 25 euros / ltr but there's enough to keep Lincolnshire bug free.
Very versatile,can also be added to shampoos and soaps etc

Seem to have gone mad this year on a spiky yellow daisy's stem. Horticultural Soap is better than Fairy [washing up liquid] and Neem Oil puts off most things and is totally natural.

BT, aka Bacillus Thungurensis is a natural bacteria that kills most things, including Processional Caterpillars, is probably worth a try too.
