Hi Chris

Very sorry to hear this Chris. Can you post as much detail of the items taken so we can keep an eye out?

Note to all: Get an alarm that monitors your sheds as well as the house and calls your mobile when it's triggered. I hear that the big monitoring companies are far to slow to respond in time.

Forgot...
McCullock strimmer ,short bent shaft type.

As before they closed the casita doors afterwards. Very thoughtful......

It happened last night (Weds) and we were in and only 20 yards away.

Hi just a thought are these tools in a locked up area ,are they breaking in ? you know you get this in the UK as well I had loads of tools stolen from my garage a few years ago, and more recently they broke into my car parked up at the top of Borrowdale in the Lake District and totaly wiped me out tent, boots ,rucksac the lot,and yet I have been into the Pyrenees and have often left my rucksac at the base of a mountain ,left tent up etc .. and nothing moved.
You get scum everywere,
A friend went to Machu Pichu the other year and was sitting down taking some photos whilst chatting to a couple of locals ,the next thing he knew they put a knife to him and asked for the camera etc.. but left him with his Passport  even bandits have some Morals ? >:(

Yes, all stolen from 2 casitas with steel doors, locked and double locked with good quality padlocks. Plus, all the gear was locked inside with chain and padlocks, they brought bolt cutters and crowbars.
We followed their trail up to the road side where they gathered everthing together then probably phoned the driver who must have been parked just up the road.

Morning Chris, sorry to hear your news, have you got a dog, if you havn't have you thought about getting one?
Usually theives are cowards and don't fancy getting bitten on the arse, or risk the dog wakening you up so that you can fire some buckshot to give them something to take away.
Just athought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont let the bast@rds get you down

We met a lady a few weeks ago, who had been burgled
during an afternoon, while out, with her husband.
They had four or five dogs, which the burglars had beaten with a stick, which was left there.
The police were shocked to see the dogs all cowering, when they arrived at the property!
Burglars sometimes use ether spray on dogs and humans, this happened to friends in Cost del Sol, a few years ago.

If you search the net for......alarm gun.....you can purchase a brilliant little device and the blanks online. They are not that expensive and can be fixed at any height etc. They will not harm anyone unless you adapt them but make a heck of a bang. I wouldn't think any one would hang around after setting one off.I know I didn't when I set one off while poaching many moons ago.  Don't know if they will post to Spain but they are legal in UK. Perhaps someone could bring some over ?

I thought i'd top up the tractor with diesel, but bugger me they nicked my "just filled" jerry can as well!

Alarm gun ok to transport from UK to Spain but I think if you got caught with the blanks either in UK, France or Spain could take a lot of explaining.  Does anyone know of a similar products that just would just blast paint all over the b-----rds.  Could maybe get higlow paint.

Hi Eden
Don't understand your reticence to shooting the bastards with grape shot they deserve it, However see video and replace grape shot with a small balloon of paint stuffed in the end of the party popper, though personally I would put battery acid in it,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyGcSrcr2Rs

Blank Cartridges are legal to ship, think of starting pistols and farmers protecting their unlocked barns totally legal

In some ways and I hate to admit it but  the Arabs have it right chop their hands off if they are caught steeling, there would be a lot of one armed bandits in the Tortosa area, mind you they probably wouldn't get caught by the apathetic police! with the attitude that its not right to steal of village people !! but if you are stupid enough to want to live on the Campo than thats your look out!!
