Title: The Gas Main Cometh..... Post by ColinB on Jan 25th, 2011 at 8:03pm
....close to us - but not too close; trees are being heavily pruned. For how long can we expect local roads to be closed, diversions, etc? Is it total mayhem or is it all bearable? And I want only good news !!!

Hi. A friend of mine had the pipeline across a corner of his land, knocking down a couple of terrace walls and a gateway, he was given 1.700€ compensation and everything was put back as it was and more, they also improved his access road.
A little disruption for him but they were very obliging. He got the compensation cheque months before they started. Terry. |

Could someone be so kind as to post some info re this gas main. ? The reason I ask is that there's a huge black pipe being installed south of Santa Barbara and I've no idea what it's for. Not affecting me. Just interested.
