You are not alone in having random and inexplicable tripping of fuses.  It does tend to be the main distribution relay for us.  Then again it happens in England as well.  Bring back fuse wire with bits of tin foil to make the contacts.  It's like digital TV.  I'd rather have slightly grainy analogue than frozen picture digital.  And don't mention pounds and ounces etc etc etc.
