yep, it's windy in Catalunya, always has been and that's why they have been busy building one of the biggest wind farms in Europe!

My sweetcorn plants are all horizontal, my pepper plants have removed themselves from the ground and gone walkabout and my runner beans have lost all their beans and flowers.
Thats the price I pay for living on the ridge of a mountain, 1000ft above sea level. :)

I know it is windy here, but I have been here 7 years now and it has never been like this in July before , we normally get this wind Sept.  Very strange, still at least it is cool at night so I can get some sleep.
Promised me poor little plants it will stop tomorrow so they can bring out their flowers again ;D

I am worried for my blades...in the last week I have hit 110 mph, my blades are supposedly good for 100mph, now on third set  >:(

Jack are the blades DIY Plastic pipe or are you paying for them ? I was last out in Feb and had the high winds, I thought this was a Winter thing ? Tramontare ? or is it just down to Global winding ;D

I now have carbon fibre on the turbine which has lost the blades before, they cost a small fortune, but should survive anything.
My other smaller wind turbine still has the original chinese glass fibre blades.
All my local friends say that the winds are exceptional for July  ::)

Winds blowing from different direction to normal for time of year, and much stronger aswell.
Observatory in Roquetes recorded 85 km. winds one day this month, but every day, being windy.
If you can see clouds hanging above Mount Caro, which locals say are eyebrows, then you can expect it to be windy.

Jack have you had a look at the otherpower forum re-blades, I am sure that if the winds are getting this high it would be best to tilt down your turbines batts must be fully charged with all that wind.
I don't think my PVC pipe blades would last five minutes in 85 km winds especially with my  guess work balancing :-?

My finca is extremely exposed. anything but the best would not last 10 minutes, excepto el chino blades
