Remember Spain has an agreement with the UK and will pursue you through the UK courts for any outstanding monies and interest.

In the past few weeks the Spanish Government and the Banks have got together to try and resolve the outstanding mortgage problem see below.

What a load of rubbish that article was. That chap was not even living out here, he had a holiday home, didn't he rent it out when he was not using it. If he bought it in 1999, he sold it for far more than the 36 grand he paid for it i bet. This type of media coverage is one of the reasons we move here. >:(

I bet he didn't submit a rente nor paid tax on his holiday rental income!
