Title: Long term rental required
Post by Fuerte2012 on Jul 17th, 2012 at 8:43am
We are thinking of moving to the area and are looking for a property to rent, have contacted a couple of estate agents. But just wondering if anybody knows of or has a 2/3 bed property to rent to a mature couple.

It would save yourself a lot of problems and heartache to find another region that welcomes property purchasers,as Cataloonya certainly does not !

The couple make no mention of making a purchase they were asking for rental properties. I am sure when they are in house whilst renting, Can judge for themselves.  ;)

We've been here for five and a half years and have always found people friendly and welcoming.  It is a beautiful region and I hope Mr & Mrs 'Fuerte' find somewhere suitable.

Fuerte hi,
Most people who have their homes for sale will offer you long term rental on them with a first option to buy, as property sales are not moving. But deal with a reputable lawyer and rental agency. But be warned do not get sucked into the scam that you must put down 6 months or 12 months rental. By law they should only ask for 2months plus 1 months up front, besides your deposit should be held in a  separate account and not touched by the owner by law.  Hope this helps. Rosie ::)

Ebrovoice Thanks for that reply and understand your comments I think there maybe owners out there who would rent but getting to find them is quite difficult, this forum is one way we are trying estate agents are the other. Que sera sera :)

I know a Catalan family who were planning on renting out there finca in Masdenverge close to Amposta if you are interested. I don't believe they are looking to sell tho but if you are looking for a base to explore the area it might be ideal.  Let me know if you are interested and I can put you in touch.

Fuerte,
What kind of property, and roughly what area are you looking at renting?
A house/flat near shops and bars, near the sea, or a place on it's own in the countryside?

In retrospect probably should have put more details on first posting we are looking for a 2/3 bedroom house or villa we are flexible as to the area but ideally would like to be able to walk to a couple of bars/restaraunts and be able to get internet. If anyone would like more information about us no problem just send a P message
                                    Thanks

First of all thanks to all who have sent replies or PMīs however we are still looking so have decided to extend our search to include apartments 2/3 beds preferably unfurnished. If anyone has any info or website links we would be pleased to hear from you. We are still flexible on areas but hopefully walking distance to a couple of Restaraunts/Bars
                             Thanks
