I have a Sky box but no free Sky Sports channels.
Do you need an account with them?
Does everyone else pay money to Sky, or just get the free channels, in which case, can you get free Sky Sports?

So how will it work?

If you are a Sky or Virgin Media customer, all you have to do is simply turn to the Sky Sports Channel of your choice and enjoy! For any other platform, please contact your provider.

So you have to have a sky or virgin contract ...not just a sky box then ?

Correct they hope people on a contract will upgrade and keep the sports.I just showed the link to make sky customers aware you can watch the cricket etc for free this weekend. You can watch the Grand Prix on BBC with the three moppets. Is it VET tel, VEE Tal, or Vettel I will ponder for ever. I would have thought instead of annoying everyone every race David Coulthard would have minced down the pit lane and asked the bloke the correct pronunciation. But that's the BBC for ya init.  >:(

Unfortunately the German Grand Prix is not on the BBC.
They are showing highlights on BBC2 at 5.30pm BST.

Not sure how many people know this.
If you know someone in UK or elsewhere that pays for Sky channels, Sport, Movies etc. You can watch them online through Sky Go if they will give you their password.

Sorry DD you are correct I think the golf has grabbed all the cash this weekend and all is left is the 5.30pm highlights. I kept my Sky account but will finish once the new Humax box comes out with G2 whatever that is  :-[

F1 coverage is now shared between sky and BBC. Today's race is not a scheduled race for BBC transmission hence the highlights on now. Am managing to watch it on the iplayer via Expatshield without too many problems.
