10 Litres per sq metre is 1 centimetre of rainfall, so 1000 litres = 1 metre of rainfall.
Up my mountain we had 8 inches = 20 centimetres = 200 litres per sq metre = 44 gallons per 10.7 sq feet I hope that helps :) |
