Coldest spell thus far Wed, Thur, Fri.  Dead calm though, frost in hollows.  Snow line at 700 metres. BBBBbbbbbbrrrrrrrr!
Keep the fire going all the time!

Came back this afternoon having been up near the Pyrenees near a town called Graus for the holidays.
The weather has been absolutely beautiful, full sun every day, snow on the peaks in the distance.
We had an outdoor paella on Thursday and a BBQ on Saturday, frost on the ground first thing in the mornings, but once the sun came up, it was amazing.
Don't we live in a wonderful country where you do that in December in the sunshine?............. :)

I so agree with you, Jools.
I am living in the campo and thoroughly enjoy it. The weather is fantastic, my batteries are fully charged ( without having to run a generator at all this month).
I eat mostly my own homegrown meat and vegetables
My neighbours are great - Catalans and all the other nationalities - and we all look out for each other.
I wouldn't live anywhere else except on top of my mountain.

Re the last posts:
Wonderful to see happy, contented people chatting on the forum. I think we sometimes forget how lucky we are to be 'living the dream'- I forgot the other day when the gas bottle ran out on the water heater, and my hair was covered in conditioner!

After 30+ years in the south of England I find the folks here to be really friendly and helpful. It has taken us 3 years of living here full time to get to know enough locals to feel accepted. Wear a smile and don't rush about and it all comes together. I don't think I will ever get beyond a few dozen words of Catalan but the Castillian is coming along steadily. I have only met one guy who refused to speak Spanish to me.
Absolutely love it here and everyone I know in the UK is jealous. Long may it continue.  :D
