Post by Ritaratbag on Jun 22nd, 2013 at 6:35pm
Anyone interested in cave paintings, may like to visit some in Serra de Godall, Ulldecona.
Some are 8,000 years old.
It became a Unesco site in 1998.
Tours to the caves Tues-Sat. 10 + 12h.  16h.
Sundays and Holidays 10 +12h.
As well as the caves you can visit the Interpretation Centre,
Tues-Sat. from 10-14h.  16 -18h
You can also visit the Ermitage.
There is also a bar/restauraunt, with lovely terrace and views.

Glad this was posted here. We went up there yesterday afternoon and had a great time. The visitors centre is well done, the languages are no problem and the guide was very interesting.
As for the paintings ... well I won't spoil the surprise for anyone who has not yet been, but WOW! Incredible.
Good call Rita !

When we visited, we didn't pay 10 euros.
But think there were different prices for pensioners, students and groups.
It's a guided tour, and only for a a few people at a time.
Only for the fit and active, though!
