L'Ajuntament de Tortosa adquireix uns terrenys per construir una deixalleria a Jesús
        
L'Ajuntament de Tortosa ha formalitzat l'adquisició d'uns terrenys per a la futura construcció d'una deixalleria que
prestarà servei al poble de Jesús. La finca, de 4.550 m2, està ubicada a la partida Sant Bernabé i la seva compra ha
representat una inversió en torn als 30.000 euros. El consistori tortosí posa ara a disposició de l'EMD de Jesús aquests
terrenys per tirar endavant la posada en servei d'aquest nou equipament. "Independentment del moment complicat que
estem vivint, inversions bàsiques com aquesta s'han de continuar fent", ha assenyalat l'alcalde de Tortosa, Ferran Bel.
De la seva banda, l'alcalde de l'EMD de Jesús, Pere Panisello, ha afirmat que aquest és un equipament necessari per al
poble i que podrà ubicar-se en un lloc accessible.

It doesn't seem to be very big piece of land for a normal tip.
There are E.U. laws about dumping waste materials etc.
Wonder if it's for the general public to take their old washing machines, furniture etc. to.
Maybe like a recycling place?

My understanding is that a deixalleria is a recycling centre, not a landfill site. There is one just on the outskirts of Roquetes, on the way to Els Reguers. There are numerous around the area but they aren't landfill sites. 4,500 m2 wouldn't take long to fill if it were.
