Last seen Tuesday (25th). 16ft Dell Quay Dory boat has gone from the jetty at Tivenys, It is possible that the chain securing the boat was cut just "out of badness" (boats here have been vandalised often over the last couple of years) and the boat has drifted further down river. 

Description: The boat is white with "DORY" in black 6" lettering on the sides. Fitted with Evenrude electric start 25hp motor. Black single seat (vandalised and looking tatty). Missing a chrome siderail which was ripped off by vandals during the summer.

Off to the Police Station now with photos, etc.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I live in Tivenys - I wondered what had happened to the old wreck! Vandals must be responsible for its disappearance - nobody would want that piece of old junk! The boat's an absolute wreck. The owner hasn't used it for over 2 years. 

Try Steptoe & Son's Scrapyard, Oil Drum Lane, Shepherds Bush, London. Best place for it!

it is also possible that it flapping around in the current for 2 years, half full of water has dislodged or worn through the cleat. but i do agree with welshblodwyn that it would clearly not be worth stealing.
