Would be interested to know what the cost of transport would be for 50,000L as we have our water deliver 16,000L at one time but we can have up to 70,000L stored.
PM me and let me know we are 9km outside L'ametlla de mar |

Nobody can deliver 50,000 litres of water in one go. The weight of the water would be 50 tonnes - more than any road legal vehicle can carry on european roads. 1litre of water is 1kg. 1000 Litres is one tonne. 38 tonnes is the most any vehicle is allowed to weigh (including the truck and the load combined)
Sorry to dissapoint. John. |

Yeah, that's correct John although the combined gross weight in the eu is 44 tons now, I drove flour tankers for a couple of years and managed to load 29 tons of flour into 5 hatches, unbaffled of course which took me 20kgs under 44 tons, lucky I only weigh 80kgs..... hovis are running with fibreglass tanks now and get even more payload on.... as for the water you would need an artic to carry anywhere near that amount of water about 30000 ltrs and I cant see them going up narrow uneven roads to a finca.

Think what you are asking the weight of water alone is over the legal limit of any normal vehicle
