Too hot here for them here, even if you spray plants with water like in the U.K.

We were told by someone last night that you need to pollinate the plants manually.  They also need a lot of water, including spraying, and plenty of food like liquid manure.

Best stick to the seeds they sell here as they are known to do well.  The ones with the purple patches are ok.  They still need a lot of water and feed though.

I had this problem too. Apparently the red flowered beans are more susceptible than the white flowered beans. I'm going to try the spanish beans next time.

Try growing seeds from U.K. called Moonlight.
White flowered, self pollinating and have cropped very well this year in Spain.
