Didn't it used to be that the police couldn't be bothered,
when foreign tourists were speeding etc. Too much paperwork involved!
I have never understood how hire car companies get away with not having all the legal requirements in their cars, first aid kits, triangles etc. etc.

The reason that they do not put triangles, first aid kits, fluorescent jackets etc in the cars is because they get stolen, but ask for them when you pick up the car and they may get supplied.
