Title: Caterpillars

Don't know if it's just on my plot but there are a huge amount of Pine Processionary Caterpillar nests this year and they've started to emerge so beware.

Some nests were blown out of a neighbours tree, in strong winds, a few weeks ago.
(I expect more will come down in these gales)
We saw caterpillars climbing up the wall of house.
Have only seen them on the ground before.
A few days later a kitten was really poorly, after being near caterpillars. It was in the vets, being treated for a few days, but luckily it's o.k. now.

I've intercepted two trains so far heading from the pine opposite towards the house.  Fly spray works.

Most of the Pine trees in the Ports Mountains appear to be covered in the nests! Can not remember so many nests in the Mountains in previous years.

So it's pretty general then.  I also have never seen anything like as many as this.  They're damaging the trees as well.  Especially the smaller ones.

Plaque of processionary caterpillars this year?
Reports of 300 cyclists riding through a park in Seville, having problems, and needing medical treatment.
