These systems do give you a little peace of mind but remember you get what you pay for. I pay a security company to monitor my home as I live 5 minutes from the main town but in Olive fields. Security aside one of the reasons I use them is that if we need an ambulance etc. They can guide them to the address via their GPS system and they speak my language so details of your needs will be relayed to the emergency services.They have already saved at least one persons life I know and for that reason alone it's worth the cost.
