Took my car for itv this morning at Tortosa itv station. The good news is you can just sit in reception and they will run the car though the test for you and there is no charge. So fear not re the language etc all of that is now removed. I arrived for my test at 8.45am and was on my way home for 9am. ;)

When you go to the counter in the first instance with your docs there is a small plastic sign on the counter in English stating all will be done for you whilst you take a seat.No cost involved.

I like it.

Most of the staff speak some English and are perfectly capable of ensuring that you understand what they ask.

This means that you get to be involved with the process and understand what the technical checks are all about. For many people much more interesting than waiting while some bod does it for you.

Get involved in the process you mean left indicator right indicator betty let them earn their 45 euros.l normally take my scooter and cars through but why bother for 15 minutes l was pointing the free service out to help others who will pay a garage to take their car in for the test now they can save that money.Every little helps bla bla  8-)

I went through the itv 2weeks ago, the staff where brilliant from the lady i booked in with to the last guy who put the sticker on the windscreen nobody could have been more helpfull ,i choose to drive the car through i use every opertunity to try and pick bits of the language up but it just wont stick
