With a High of 1040 in the Atlantic and  Low  of 987 over Corsica, we are going to get an absolute hoolie.  Whether (weather?) this is a gale as defined by the met office is open to discussion but it IS going to be a hoolie. 

A profile incline of 53 hPa over such a short distance = a highly dynamic airmass.  Lock up you wives, chickens, animals and children !
