Title: Pine trees
Post by Ticallion on Jan 17th, 2016 at 6:11pm
Hello

I live on a finca with terraces. It has been untouched for a long time and now lots of pine trees have taken over the higher terraces.

What are the rules about cutting these trees?
I don't want to cut the big ones as they are out of the way.
It's more the young ones blocking access.
Should there be a fire break between them ?
If I'm not allowed what about cutting branches?
Who do I speak to about getting permission?

Thanks so much

So  no answers huh?

So far as I know it depends where you are.  If you in an area that the Agents Rurals consider holy then you can't sneeze without them saying it's OK. And they probably will say don't sneeze!

If on the other hand these trees are blocking access to a dwelling which is legal to occupy then why shouldn't you cut them out?  Once you ask question from authorities then you have to comply with their answers, but do what you think is sensible and do not talk about it.  If you are not occupying legally then what the heck?  You are illegal.  Do it anyway.

Forestal you will find him at local adjuntimento he will come to your land and give you a 2 year licence to cut your pines down you will need a reason but you can get large fine if you just cut with no permissions.
