Netflix have announced they will be stopping access to content outside the country where you reside.

Nigel,is Intelsat 907 still  worth looking in to,I keep on reading that this sattelite is very close to the end of it,s life, or that the encrypting method is possibly going to change ,what are your thoughts☺

Never used Netflix Nigel.  Is it not a subscription service ?
I use a VPN for catchup TV.

It's a total unknown as it is not an official service so anything could happen.
All I can say is it works at the moment and has done for the last couple of years at least but who knows.

They did change the encryption keys every 3 months or so but then the last change was in December 2014. Your guess is as good as mine.

The saving grace is the decoders I install can be used for other satellites as and when it gets switched off.

Technically I have a Malaysian Netflix account becase that is where I set up my account, where we lived at the time but since moving to Spain, I have access to way more. I am still paying the same though. :)

I do use a VPN to watch stuff on BBC Iplayer though.

What do you need to know about VPN's ?  If you already know what they do, I've been happy with TunnelBear.

So Filmon for free is no more.  What is the consensus of opinion as to how to get one's fix of 'Loose Women' and 'Jeremy Kyle'?

There seem to be two basic options:  1) VPN - free or paid for - and access the various UK catch up facilities.  (A side question here... do they show live TV or does the phrase 'catch up' explain all?)

or
2) Purchase Filmon's services with no need for a VPN but accept that it is live transmission so if you want to record programmes that is a further step.

In either case can you access the material you want to watch on multiple devices... simultaneously or separately?

I would welcome the comments of the wise folk of Forumland.

With a VPN you can watch live TV on iPlayer and All4 etc. as well as catchup.  I only tried one free vpn (Hola) and it was pretty ropey.

We live in the campo and have awful signal for tv, radio, internet and phone.  ATM we watch UKTV on an Icecrypt box but can only get BBC1, ITV1, BBC2, channel 4 and Film 4+1.  I'm desperate to get ITV 4. Any suggestion?
