Title: Cooking With Coconut Oil.
Post by Bunter on Dec 5th, 2016 at 4:40am
I was watching channel 4 Food Unwrapped the other night which I had taped ( Only cos I  love Kate  :D :D) and saw the bit about cooking in coconut oil. In the programme tests were carried out cooking with the various oils we all use and coconut oil came out the safest and healthiest to use. I thought I might try it if I could find some anyway whilst it Suma yesterday there it was 430 gram jar £10 Euro. It looks like hard lard in a jar.Last night I cooked Dorada fillets in the oil with a little knob of butter added and I must say there was no after taste of coconut etc and the fish was yummy. In Tesco in the UK 500 gram jar is £8 so about the same.

I was at the hairdressers in England last week and the girl doing my hair said she  used coconut oil on her hair and body as a moisturiser, so that expensive jar is very versatile!
